What, Vocally, Were You Doing Before Love Soul?
Honestly, not much. I’ve had ‘on and off’ singing lessons a few years ago but other than that I haven’t done anything serious.
Why Should People Join?
It’s a truly amazing group, with a constant lively atmosphere that raises your mood instantly. It’s the best environment to improve your voice and you’ll definitely have a lot of fun, I guarantee.
What’s Been Your Favourite Moment Of Love Soul So Far?
That’s a tough one, but what comes first to mind is the day we recorded the backing vocals for Daniel Evans’ song. It was so much fun recording and it was really nice meeting the Bournemouth Love Soul Choir.
How do you like your eggs in the morning?
Fried with a nice helping of sausage and beans on the side!

Why Did You Join Love Soul Choir?
I wanted to be part of something that was unique and be able to perform in front of audiences with a group of massively talented people. And what better way to be able to give all my favourite songs a new awesome sound that I’d help to create!
One of my main reasons though was to simply gain confidence when singing in front of people. I didn’t feel like I was able to comfortably sing even in front of my family, but now I can – and it is all thanks to Love Soul Choir!
What, Vocally, Were You Doing Before Love Soul?
I was solo singer with five top 10 singles, haha, only joking! Vocally, it went as far as me singing in the shower or karaoke, it was all fun, but I wanted to do something more professional with a group of likeminded people.
Why Should People Join?
So many reasons…
‘Why shouldn’t people join’ should be the question! Seriously, people who have a passion for singing should just join. Not only do you make an amazing group of new friends which become like family, you are given opportunities that you would never normally get, from singing for a couple’s first dance at a wedding, to walking into a football stadium at half time and singing in front of 26,000 people!
It also gives you something to look forward to, I honestly can’t wait for every rehearsal, and usually find myself wishing the week away to get singing and to see everyone again.
What’s Been Your Favourite Moment Of Love Soul So Far?
Well, let’s put an ‘S’ on the end of ‘moment’ because then it might be answerable!
1) Singing at St Mary’s Football Stadium – literally seconds before we walked on at half time, Southampton FC had just scored and the entire stadium was buzzing, we walked on knowing we would be performing in front of a happy crowd, as we walked on we got the best reception ever, it was crazy!
2) Singing at for Black History month,
3) Recording backing vocals for Daniel Evans’ single ‘Already There’
4) Making our own Love Soul Christmas single
5) Singing for the first time at the Concorde Club in front of my family.
I’d also just like to say a massive “Thank You” to the Love Soul team for all the hard work they put into making every rehearsal fun and rewarding as well as giving us all the opportunities we get at performing! Thank you.

Why Did You Join Love Soul Choir?
I joined Love Soul Choir initially because I was bored…only kidding! I’ve grown up singing in church choirs and loved the idea of a Pop & Soul choir. I was intrigued and wanted to network with other vocalists.

I was singing professionally in clubs and bars with two bands.

People should join Love Soul because it not only allows you to meet great, like-minded people but it helps develop your style as a singer and performer. It’s an outlet for all the people who want to sing but are too shy to do it alone.
What’s Been Your Favourite Moment Of Love Soul So Far?
Best moment of Love Soul for me, has to be Ashya and Jack’s ‘rap battle clashes!’ Lyrically they are both wack but extremely entertaining

Why Did You Join Love Soul Choir?
I was walking through West Quay in 2009, and heard the most amazing singing. I stopped shopping, (takes something extraordinary to stop me shopping!) and listened. I thought to myself, “I want to be a part of Love Soul Choir,” and applied for an audition. It was the best thing I had done for myself for a long long time.
What, Vocally, Were You Doing Before Love Soul?
Many years ago, I sang with another girl (this was back in the 80′s!)We landed our first gig at a club in Windsor. Unfortunately, Just before the gig, I became ill with a respiratory problem, and lost my bottle! Sang later on in the 90′s with a friend, and did a few pubs in the area. Loved it, but stopped when the family arrived – Stopped singing and became a Mum!

People should join Love Soul Choir, because it is the best way to build your confidence and self esteem. You will be surrounded with people who provide you with their skills and enthusiasm that can only leave you feeling great about yourself! The best thing is when you perform at a gig, and people who don’t know you appreciate and applaud what you do, which validates your self belief.
What’s Been Your Favourite Moment Of Love Soul So Far?
So many fab times with Love Soul Choir in the 10 months I’ve been with them. Appearing on ‘Don’t Stop Believing’ was awesome, performing at gigs and weddings has been so exciting, every Monday being with the rest of the Love Soul crew is so inspiring, but the best moment for me was when I was awarded the Face of Love Soul Award of 2011. I was overwhelmed and words really did fail me ( for once!!)

Why Did You Join Love Soul Choir?
I joined Love Soul after a conversation I had with my Grandma about pursuing my passion for music. I was ready to make that next step as a singer, but I did not feel ready enough to hold a stage on my own, even karaoke was daunting. It wasn’t until I came across Love Soul did I then realise that this was the perfect stepping stone for me.

Before Love Soul I hadn’t sung beyond the four walls of my bedroom. I feared people listening in and dreaded the thought of branching out of my comfort zone.

Singing in itself is one of the greatest things anyone can do. Singing with like-minded people as a whole simply amplifies this feeling! The goosebumps run wild and I guarantee you’ll have a struggle sleeping when you get home from a rehearsal!

What’s Been Your Favourite Moment Of Love Soul So Far?
The moment we had just performed on Don’t Stop Believing live on channel five is one of the high points in my life let alone Love Soul Choir. The rehearsing and working together to deliver a World class performance was an incredible experience and one I shall never forget.
When you have peanut butter on toast, do you add a layer of butter too?
