The expected sound of a contemporary Pop, Soul, Motown or Gospel choir is different to the more commonly known choral sound, and for that reason, the approach to learning and rehearsing has to support this. It is this fact that fuels the direction of Love Soul Choir weekly sessions and the different aspects of learning that are involved.



Your Voice Is Our Priority:

Love Soul Choir relies on one thing – the voice. So, we know that, as a member, encouraging you to gain a greater understanding of how to use yours effectively, and giving you more opportunity to put this in to practice, is fundamental.

Love Soul Choir incorporates one of the world’s most advanced vocal techniques into the weekly sessions – Speech Level Singing (SLS). In case you’re unaware, SLS has been studied by over 120 Grammy award winners including the likes of Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and Kelly Clarkson. SLS makes singing as natural and as easy as speaking, and produces an effortless, powerful and expressive voice.

Locked away inside the exclusive ‘Members’ Area,’ is our friend, Virtual Director. Virtual Director™ holds everything you need to get you through a performance. From harmonies, to advice and the exclusive ‘Love Soul Choir Dance Concept’… you can log in anytime!

As you would expect, the Love Soul Choir weekly sessions are all about vocals. Period. But, for performances, we completely appreciate the value in giving our audiences something exciting to look at too.

This is why, with the help of the unique Love Soul Choir Dance Concept (and modern technology!), we give you everything you need to perfect your moves on-line, within the ‘Members’ Area.’



We Love Harmonies:

Before we begin, what is harmony singing?

Simply, two or more notes, pitched differently, sung at the same time. They are fun to learn and create an unmistakable sound. Let’s face it, without them, Love Soul Choir would be like a car without petrol – not an ideal situation.

We’re not going to pull the wool over your eyes; great harmony singing is an art and does take a bit of commitment and hard work! Saying that, it is also true to say that one of the best ways to improve your harmony singing ability is to actually ‘get in there and do it’! This is why Love Soul Choir doesn’t expect any previous harmony singing experience from potential members. We know you’ll pick up everything you need to know ‘on the job’. All Love Soul Choir harmonies are taught by call and response, which means, you also don’t need to be able to read sheet music.



Whether it’s just taking part in the weekly warm ups, regular ‘info-classes’ or opting for one to one tuition, every Love Soul Choir member will have the chance to experience one of the world’s most advanced singing techniques.
 Think about this, when black and white TVs were about, who would have thought they could’ve got any better? They did.
 Similarly, we know that there have been Pop choirs and similar singing groups around for years. You know the ones, where it’s standard to sing ‘Lean On Me’, in a three part harmony, wearing a T-shirt with a logo on the front.
Who would have thought this could have got any better? – Well, it just has.
