Things have been changing at Love Soul Choir recently, but it’s good to see that you’re keeping up!

It’s our mission to keep challenging the status quo, after all, it’s how we managed to change the meaning of ‘choir’. We’ve been working hard for two years, trying to work out a way to have Love Soul Choir’s leader go home with every member and train them in the week, but it was so hard to do. So, thanks to people like ‘Tim Berners-Lee’, we’ve managed to use the internet instead, it’s brilliant… isn’t it?

Now, Love Soul Choir members can log-in to the exclusive ‘Members’ Area’ at any time, and learn their harmonies, lyrics and choreography steps. There’s also a fantastic advice section, that’s regularly updated with tips from the creative team.

In fact, the whole of the ‘Members’ Area’ has been redecorated. We’d let you see it, but it’s exclusive to Love Soul members AND we would hate to give away our secret recipes.

Our members are world class and so, they deserve the best. Now go and have a look around your bit of the online Love Soul land, we’ve made some changes for you too!

Love Soul Choir is growing. We are now excited to announce the arrival of ‘choreographer to the stars’ Richard Marcel to the instructor team.

Richard is the UK’s top TV and celebrity choreographer.  He has worked with stars such as Madonna, Kylie Minogue, George Michael, Diana Ross, Tom Jones and Alesha Dixon.  He is resident choreographer on ‘BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing’, ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ and ‘Let’s Dance’ for Comic Relief.  Richard also staged and choreographed for the Royal Variety Performance 2010.

After assisting to develop the revolutionary ‘Love Soul Choir Dance Concept’, Richard now offers regular advisory videos for members, which are published in the exclusive Members’ Area.

Love Soul Choir is now exclusive. This means that the UK’s hottest Pop, Soul and Motown Choir now has a limit of 70 members per choir.

Our members are passionate about the voice, singing and performance.The fact that a large percentage see a vocal coach/teacher or take singing lessons on a regular basis, really shows their commitment to developing in order to give killer performances.

Love Soul Choir Southampton’s recent performance at West Quay raised over £1000 for our chosen charity of the year – The RoseRoad Children’s Appeal.

We are really pleased with the success of the event at West Quay Shopping Centre. The Rose Road Association has been chosen as our ‘Charity of The Year’ as we wish to highlight the fabulous work being produced at the centre.

Our relationship with Rose Road will continue throughout 2011, with more events planned, in the quest to inspire the people of Southampton!”

T’was the weekend before Christmas, and Southampton and Bournemouth Love Soul Choir members joined forces for a fantastic musical collaboration.

On Sunday 19th December 2010, there was an abundance of ‘Love Soul’ sprinkled over Salisbury City centre, as it hosted the recording of ‘Already There’ for Daniel Evans (X Factor finalist).

What an unbelievable weekend it was at the Maidstone Studios filming for Channel 5′s all singing, all dancing show: ‘Don’t Stop Believing’. All of the hard work culminated in what has been deemed as the best episode so far!

On Sunday 1st August 2010, The Love Soul Choir members did us proud and must be congratulated on the performance. With comments such as “you saved me, that is vocal beauty right there” from international superstar and judge Anastacia, and “the best vocal group we have in this competition” from No 1 selling artiste and judge Duncan James, it was clear that Love Soul Choir made a big impression.

Love Soul Choir didn’t make it into the final, but are pleased for DaleDiva and Swish who put in fine performances, as did the other groups in the show; Bridgewater Show Choir, Jacob’s Street and Original Talent.

Love Soul Choir would like to thank Channel 5 and Shine TV for the show and their assistance throughout.
